prayers please

last thursday brian's first cousin, jenn, gave birth to her first child 3 months prematurely. it is a daughter and they named her abigail rose jacoby. in addition to being a preemie baby, her major heart arteries are crossed, but they can not operate until she 5 weeks old. currently they are all doing fine and mom and dad are dealing with it the best way they know how. you can follow their progress here: Abigail Rose
















also, when we got back from florida on sunday we learned that our friend, stan baker, who helped us buy our first house, died suddenly of a heart attack friday night. he had recently turned 40 and his wife had given birth to their first child just 4 weeks prior. he was an avid outdoors man and tennis player and one of the nicest and happiest people we knew. we went to his funeral today and it was standing room only. many people got up to tell stories and share their grief and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
